back in action for another year too..

Well, maybe not about the wreath thing.. Here’s what this area really looks like:.Even if I try to pretend this little wall of hooks is just like my dream mudroom, it just doesn’t work.. And that’s just fine.

Having this little area to put all of our ugly, brightly colored, real-life things really does make our lives easier. For this point in our lives, if I’m looking for the perfect mudroom/drop zone/entryway all I need to remember is to keep it simple and keep it real.. And to not be ridiculous.I just love a good low-cost/no-cost DIY pillow solution to add a little cheer to my day. There are so many great ideas out there to turn unexpected things into pillows and I admit I may be developing a bit of an addiction to these easy crafty tricks.

Place mat pillows?I was all over that about two years ago.. Walmart flour sack pillows.

There are so many worse things to be addicted to though!

OK, it depends on who you ask….. What I have here for you today is a new one that I haven’t seen anywhere yet, and I think it just may be my favorite so far….I got them for Christmas from my wonderful family, along with a bunch of other pieces and I stop to admire them at least once a day, so they’re staying out a little while longer before the Easter ones come out of the cupboard.. Blown out real eggs.

, some dyed blue, all lined up in chicken egg cups.Orderliness makes me happy.

Control freak alert!.Basically, it’s just a little shot of happiness for me as soon as I walk in the house!.
